Order prescription
Order your repeat prescription in Leicester
Prescription ordering does not need an appointment. Send your request through our app, in store or through the NHS App and we will prepare it for collection.
Three ways to order
How to order your medicine
Order when you have around a week of medicine left. That gives the surgery time to authorise the request and gives us time to source anything in short supply.
Order in the app
Download our app, add your medicines once and reorder in a few taps whenever you need to.
Order in store
Come into Safys Chemist on Melton Road and tell the team what you need. We will handle the request with your surgery.
Use the NHS App
If you already use the NHS App, nominate us as your pharmacy and send your request from there.
Our app
Everything about your medication in one place
Once you have nominated Safys Chemist, your electronic prescriptions come straight to us and the app keeps you updated from request to collection.
Ready to collect alerts
We let you know the moment your prescription has been dispensed and checked.
Reorder reminders
A prompt when it is time to request your next supply, so you do not run out.
Your medicine list
Everything you take in one place, ready to share with any clinician who asks.

Collection and delivery
Collecting your prescription
Most prescriptions are ready for collection within a working day of the surgery authorising them, though some items take longer if they need ordering in. We will tell you when to expect it rather than leaving you guessing.
Collections are during our normal opening hours at Safys Chemist, 139 Melton Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE4 6QS. If you cannot get in, speak to the team about arrangements for family collection or ask about the options available for housebound patients.
